Embodiment | Sentience is the first posthumous exhibition in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the passing of late Singaporean artist, Teng Nee Cheong (b.1951-d.2013) featuring a selection of his charcoal works created between 1975 and 2010.

The design’s use of close crops and multiple layering draws awareness and intimacy to the fantastical and sensual form of Teng's charcoal drawings, at the same time creating a sense of paradoxical intrigue to a familiar/unfamiliar image — an interchangeability of tangibility and the intangibility.

Many thanks to the Teng Nee Cheong Estate and The Private Museum for the courage and trust.
